school of rock
3:13:00 PM
Okay, so ST's School of Rock contest attracted a total of 198 signups. Kids from all over Singapore vying for the top prize of $5000 cash which is a little paltry to me. But of course, the huge carrot would have to be the contract with Music & Movement. That would almost certainly open doors for bigger things to come.

Reading that article triggered memories of this author's youth. Afternoons of jamming and images of rock & roll stardom beckoning. But of course, it doesn't help i sound like a toad.LOL. So, dreams of being rich & famous evaporated faster than i can sing
'It's my Life'. *giggles*. Actually, i just want to be rich & famous. That's it. Let me repeat, famous eh. NOT infamous. 2 different things altogether.

So the question that comes to mind after heavy conversations is
' How does one get rich?'
Not necessarily ULTRA-RICH, just rich enough for me to be able to afford nice 5* hotels when i go on holidays and by that i don't mean in Bintan! Keke. To be able to afford a nice car, home complete with this author's coveted furnishings from anywhere she desires, wads of dollar notes to sufficiently sustain any of my innermost desires.

How?

I reckon the best bet is to be your own boss. To have your own business where you control all the strings. Or be SUPER DUPER smart and get myself a damn good education where i can sell my skills for a nice, tidy sum everyday. Given i'm not inclined to spend years of my life poring over books, the latter option might just be out.Heh. And that leaves me where? My own business? Sounds viable. Unreachable but big things happen to those who dream big right?

Yet, being rich..It's defined in sOo many different ways. Intrinsically or vice versa. Most people would equate wealth to the $ but for some, being rich simply means being fulfilled, completed. A happy family or good health or even indulging in the simplest of things makes you a rich person. To each his own.

As for me, I want to be just like Posh.
Minus the drama and heartache of a cheating husband.
Just the moolah baby. The moolah would do just fine.
Uh-huh!

ok now, too many pics!
3:19:00 PM
Okay, this is how it is.

I've got over 700 pictures stored in Naz's thumbdrive from the hornymoon. Heh. Too many for me to even contemplate uploading to an online photo album. SoOo what i'm going to do is to compile a few of my favourites in here as promised.

A glimpse of a wondrous start to a beautiful journey celebrated with family, good friends and of course how can i forget, my new husband.

*Hornymoon*

The honeymoon was of course stupendous. Before Europe, we had an appetizer of sorts and headed to Bangkok for a wee bit of shopping. You know, i HAD to prepare for Paris.LOL. Armed with our strong Singapore dollar, i blew off what i could spare on buying a brand new wardrobe. You guessed it! Yeah, i went to Paris with a luggage full of brand new clothes. Tada! No need for laundry or grrr, god forbid ironing. Heh.

After the heartache of our failed initial plans, i thought i'd never get to go to this wonderful place. But with God's grace we did manage to see Monaco. Yes!Yes!Yes! I did. Amazing is all i have to say. We missed by the merest whisker the Monaco Grand Prix. Sheesh. But Monaco was resplendent. Just as i thought it would be. Beautiful. Very apt for the rich & famous. Stayed 2 nights in Nice, hung around the stone pebbled beach. Uh-huh. Stone pebbles instead of sand. My feet were very happy indeed. :)

However, given a choice to do it all over again, i would stay just in Paris for a whole month. That place...I don't know. It just spoke to me. Paris is NOT, i repeat NOT over-rated. Paris is wonderfully enigmatic. Modern yet still maintaining its old-world charm. Not to mention sidewalk cafes every 30 seconds. I had hot chocolat every day i was there too. Mana la tak gemuk Farah.Keke. I don't mind the weight gain. Everything about Paris just felt right at home with me. Even Naz too. My vainpot of a husband who FINALLY had a reason to wear his black blazer that nearly went unnoticed in our new cupboard. Paris captivated our hearts. We went there expecting the worst, you know what with the famous notoriety of Parisian snobs but came back converts. I've fallen. Very hard. In love with Paris.

We're definitely going there again. Soon.
Next stop, somewhere i've ALWAYS wanted to go too.
In the works.
And yeah, i'm going to leave you girls with this. Courtesy from the flamenco dinner we went to in Barcelona. Heh.

No, Tini, i've not migrated yet although that would be a serious consideration had i enough moolah, lol. Oh yes! Getting married is mighty expensive so right back to square one with almost nada in the bank account. Eeeks! Today's the first day at work. Major bummer after a whole month off. Yes, you heard it right. ONE WHOLE MONTH of pure bliss, relaxation, shopping and of course, not forgetting gelato EVERY, SINGLE day i was away in Europe.

I've missed you guys. Missed you guys sOo much so i shall be back with an update. I promise this time with pictures from the honeymoon and etc. In my absence, i've heard sOo much.
