I've been a bad, bad girl...

Okay so i've been in here sporadically with the barest details and skimpiest updates. My apologies, it has been exceedingly frenetic and incredibly invigorating but that aside, I'M COMING HOME!!! Oh yeah! I'm coming home. Home sweet home. For the past month or so, a huge bed complete with plush sheets has been my home. Sometimes with Naz enveloped in it, sometimes not but such is life.
Naz calls me his 'expat wifey'. Heh. What a phrase and how the world has changed yeah? It used to be the man or the husband who travels for work and brings home the bacon but now. Wow! Both the husband and wife struggle to bring home that slab of meat. I guess we've both had the opportunities to miss each other while we travel for work.
But whilst the temporary boudouir is super sleek et al, somehow when you're alone at night huddled within the confines of that bed; thoughts of home often whirl around your head. Last night while watching something on the telly, i was reminded of my honeymoon. In fact, of all the places in Paris, that was my favourite.
It is a cafe by Eiffel, waiters elegantly decked in formal vests and speaking with that beautiful French accented English. The decor was complete with red mahogany wood, candlelights and wisps of smoky air. It was a scene right out of a postcard. I remembered Naz and i decked in our bomber jackets. I mean come on, when else can i wear that? Definitely not in Singapore eh? ;p
Even though the cafe was beautiful, i am reminded of my husband's face while we were there. I think he'll remember how much i liked it there. He'll remember how much i wanted to have a traditional French dessert despite being full. Him with a glass on one hand and a cigarette on the other. With the dimming lights at the candle lit table, i saw my husband's face.
It's one of those inexplicable things i suppose. But as much as i miss Naz, my family and friends, i wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Sure it's a lot of hard work, sweat, blood and tears. But amazing. Just amazing. Funnily, i've gotten to life over here in KL. I don't know. It feels right over here too. If my mum were to read this, she'll probably get cantakerous and twist my arms. Will probably call me every day as well if i were to live here permanently.
But that's a different story altogether. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, I'm coming home folks!
*hurrah*
See you folks in a bit.
:)
