Raya came and is ending soon. I tell you with this Raya, you have no idea how many 'bila lagi' Naz and i have had to deal with. Last year wasn't too bad because we were married for only 5 months but this year is a different story altogether.
I know it's envitable. As a cousin of mine so eloquently puts it,
" Before you're married, they'll ask bila lagik? (i.e. wedding date)
After you're married, they'll ask bila lagik? (i.e. first kiddo)
After your first kid, when's the second one?"
Haiz bila mau game macam nie?!!!
Actually i've been fielding these questions for a while now. I mean we've been married for just over a year and a half. It's not that we don't want a baby per se, we just wanted to wait a while, enjoy each other's company and spending quality time, just the 2 of us. Because i know once the baby comes, we'll hardly have time for ourselves let alone with one another.
I know Naz is excited about it. He practically has no qualms and is *always* enthusiastic about carrying the little ones. It's so infectious that i can't help but be clucky too. *giggles*. I feel the year and a half we waited has been worthwhile because it has helped me to see the father that i think Naz will become. Although he doesn't want to admit it, he's turning out to be a lot like his own father and i'm proud if my child has a father like that.
Though we're excited the whole process, i can't help but be equally filled with trepidation. You know the sort that worries about all things painful @ child birth? Haha. Okay, that's a little too far in the future for me to delve into now but a gal pal just gave birth and she confirmed my greatest fear. Childbirth is indeed a mess and painful.

But what is that compared to having a child? Your own. I remembered reading Heather Locklear saying having a child is akin to having your heart with arms and legs and walking around. How true. I predict i'll be one of those paranoid parents but one who has no problems if my kiddo wants to roll in the grass or mud. Yeah. A little rugrat!

Our Raya schmansies...

This is long overdue i know. Our second raya as a "halal ah-lan wahsahlam" couple. It has been an EXHAUSTING but WONDERFUL 2 weeks. Endless spring cleaning ended up with us having gorgeous fuchsia curtains and home-made tv racks. In all, presenting the photos of our Raya so far.

I got to get ready. 2 more open houses and we're done. Khalas! If i hear another 'fad-dhal', i'll faint! My tummy and clothes can't take it any more. Taking over raya festivities will be the start of the wedding season. Dah veteran babe!
